It all started with a little boy, and a simple idea.
When I had my son, Younes, I started paying closer attention to the little things that could help him learn and develop through everyday play.
One of the first things I made for him was a set of black-and-white cards for his early visual development.
They were simple.
But as I watched Younes interact with them, I began to see just how much a thoughtfully designed activity could do.
It wasn’t just something to look at.
It became a way for him to focus, explore, interact, and discover.
And for me, it was the moment I realized something:
Play can be simple, beautiful, and purposeful at the same time.
That little set of cards was the first seed of Nino.
Then the idea grew.
As Younes grew, his needs changed.
The things that interested him as a baby were no longer enough. He wanted to touch, open, close, match, move, discover, solve, imagine, and do things by himself.
And I started asking myself:
What if there were thoughtfully designed play experiences that grew with the child?
Not random toys.
Not activities created just to keep a child busy.
But products designed around what children are learning and discovering at each stage.
That question became the foundation of Nino.
From one child to a bigger mission
What started as something I made for my own child slowly became something I wanted to create for other children too.
Nino was born from a simple belief:
Children learn so much through play — when we give them the right opportunities to explore.
So I began designing handmade interactive books and play experiences with a purpose behind every detail.
Every activity starts with a question:
What can this experience help a child discover, practice, or understand?
That might be developing fine motor skills.
Building focus.
Exploring cause and effect.
Learning to match and recognize.
Practicing independence.
Using imagination.
Or simply experiencing the joy of figuring something out alone.
Growing with the child
As Nino developed, so did the idea behind it.
I didn’t want Nino to be just a collection of quiet books.
I wanted it to become a journey that grows with the child.
From those very first moments of visual exploration, through sensory discovery, hands-on learning, independence, problem-solving, and imagination — each stage brings new ways to play and grow.
Because childhood changes quickly.
And play should change with it.
Made by a mom who believes the little moments matter.
I’m the mom behind Nino.
I design and develop our products with the same care I had when I first made those black-and-white cards for Younes.
Every material, activity, detail, and interaction is considered with a simple question in mind:
“Why is this here?”
Because I believe children don’t need more things just for the sake of having more things.
They need meaningful experiences.
And moms deserve products they can feel good about bringing into their children’s everyday lives.
Nino is my way of creating those experiences — one little activity at a time.
From one mom, one little boy, and a few simple black-and-white cards...
Nino began.
And today, we’re creating purposeful ways for little minds to play, explore, and grow — every step of the way.
Play with purpose. Grow with every stage.
